 Course Offerings

 Wolf Creek Adventures is proud to offer the following ACA courses to at-risk
     youths in the Asheville area.  Introduction to Canoeing and Level 3 River Canoeing
     are generally scheduled every summer.  The Level 3 Continuation course and the
     River Safety and Rescue course are considered at the end of each summer based
     on the interest of the youths who have participated during that summer.

 Introduction to Canoeing
     April, May and June at Lake Julian with Big Brothers, Big Sisters of WNC and
     Youth OUTRight
     This course is designed to give the participants a quick introduction to the skills
      needed to successfully paddle a tandem canoe on flatwater and includes several
      hours of instruction at Lake Julian and a paddle around the lake as appropriate
      for the participants.

 Level 3 River Canoeing
     June, July and August at Lake Julian and the French Broad River with Big Brothers/
     Big Sisters of WNC and Eliada Homes
     This course is designed to give the participants the skills needed to successfully
     paddle class I-II whitewater and includes up to 8 hours of instruction at Lake Julian
     and a trip on an easy section of the French Broad River.

 Level 3 River Canoeing, Continued
     August and September with a select group of youths from the Level 3 River
     Canoeing courses
     This course is designed to give the participants the skills needed to catch eddies,
     execute ferries and peel out of eddies in class I-II rapids and would include
     several trips on class I-II rivers.

 Introduction to River Safety and Rescue
     August with a select group of youths from the Level 3 River Canoeing courses
     This course is designed to give the participants an introduction to skills relevant
      to safety and rescues on whitewater rivers.
